As one of the city’s last remaining green lungs, it serves as an essential ecological link for the city’s parks and reserves. This project, championed by the Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) and local communities, aims to safeguard its natural heritage against modern urban pressures.

Our Challenges & Goals

Urban Community Forest (UCF) faced a significant challenge in mobilizing public support and articulating the urgency of their mission without a clear, consolidated digital platform. Decades of history, ecological data, and conservation risks were scattered, making it difficult to convey both the beauty of the landscape and the gravity of the development threats in one place. UCF’s primary goal was to develop a single-page website that could effectively educate the public on the location’s history, landscape, and ecological importance, clearly outlining the specific threats and existing safeguards, and ultimately, driving tangible action through visits, volunteering, and donations.
